Heinz Field
Heinz Field - Pittsburgh Steelers, that should say it all. Heinz Field was officially opened in August 2001. The cost was 281 million dollars. The field holds 64,450 people. Heinz Field is on the Allegheny River next to downtown Pittsburgh, PA.
Three Rivers Stadium was the previous home to the Steelers, Panthers, and Pirates. But now the Pirates have their own stadium, PNC Park, is just opposite from Heinz Field in between where the previous Three Rivers Stadium used to stand (now a parking lot).
Heinz Field currently hosts many other events such as job fairs, concerts, golden gloves events, etc. The city of Pittsburgh supplies a shuttle service to and from Heinz field. The cost is a dollar and you can go to places such as: Station Square, Mellon Arena, Chatham Center, Smallman Street and the garages on Smithfield Street and Liberty Avenue. On game days the shuttles operate every ten minutes and start 90 minutes before game time.
